Welcome to Symbio, a MICHELIN-FAURECIA-STELLANTIS joint-venture working for a cleaner mobility.

Our company creates hydrogen systems which are integrated in different types of vehicles.

Since the joint venture in 2019 we have grown from 40 to 800 employees in France, and we are now growing our US team as well. In 2021, Symbio entered the US Market, to develop its manufacturing footprint and contribute to meet the growing interest and demands for clean mobility technology.

We are recruiting a Technical Writer to join our team in Temecula, CA.

Your main missions will be the following:
•Develop technical documentation, including user manuals, product guides, system manuals, and procedural documents.
•Transform complex technical information into clear, understandable, and user-friendly content.
•Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and other team members to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
•Attend meetings and interviews to understand technical concepts and processes.
•Plan and organize the structure and format of technical documents based on the target audience and purpose. Create outlines and drafts to guide the writing process.
•Conduct thorough research to gather technical information from various sources. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
•Edit and proofread documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines. Collaborate with stakeholders for document reviews and incorporate feedback.
•Work with graphic designers and illustrators to incorporate visual elements such as diagrams, charts, and illustrations to enhance document comprehension.
•Maintain version control of documents and manage documentation repositories. Update documentation to reflect changes in products, processes, or technologies.
•Ensure adherence to style guides, standards, and templates for consistent documentation across projects. Develop and update style guides as needed

The profile we are looking for:

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar role, ideally in a car manufacturer or tier 1 supplier.

Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or other relevant software. Familiarity with collaboration tools and version control systems. Strong research skills to gather information from technical experts and various sources. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with deadlines.

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, or a related field.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 USD to $115,000 USD. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
