KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. The Safety Officer will have a profound impact on protecting national security. Responsibilities include reporting to Program Manager/Site Manager and Business Unit Health Safety and Environmental Director, promoting safety culture and policies through workforce training, coordinating and overseeing all Safety and Health Program activities, conducting facility surveys, staff assistance visits, and audits, assisting project management in developing and implementing Action Plans, monitoring progress, reviewing data and providing monthly HSE metrics and Quarterly Progress reports, compiling and analyzing accident, injury, and property loss data to identify root causes and trends, and assisting management in formulating Corrective Action Plans to reduce incidents and insurance costs. The position requires TS/SCI clearance with willingness to sit for a polygraph, US citizenship, a bachelor's degree in a related occupational health field or equivalent certification, and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent. Desired qualifications include First Aid/CPR with AED certification, additional safety and health certifications, leadership in safety program implementation, experience in safety audits, and strong analytical skills. Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, and incentives.
