Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business. You will be mainly accountable for: •Optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. •Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements. •Prepares technical documentation regarding the process phases and the related methods and cycle times. •Mentoring and networking opportunities. •Personal and professional development programing will be offered to all interns. This programing will include global and local sessions.
Qualifications for the role
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, supply chain operations, or related fields in the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
