Dakota Mill and Grain, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Grain Elevator Operations for our Belle Fourche, South Dakota facility. As a Grain Elevator Operator, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of grain products.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and participate in the routine maintenance of elevator machinery and equipment.
• Load and unload grain products from trucks and railcars.
• Weigh and grade grain samples to determine quality and moisture content.
• Measure and report grain bin inventory and maintain accurate records of grain transactions and inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the grain elevator facility.
• Assist with feed mill and other operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and physical.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.
• Grain elevator experience is preferred, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak harvest/feed seasons.

Physical Requirements

• Able to physically lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the work shift with and without assistance.
• Frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, balancing, climbing, reaching overhead, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, etc.
• Able to wear personal protective equipment and any other safety-related equipment.
• Able to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with overtime as required.
