Rate Range: $20-$25.88/Hr Job Description:
- Syndicate Operations provides operational support to the Securitized Product Group and Municipal Bonds underwriting businesses.
- This is a high-profile role, ensuring seamless execution of syndicate transactions front to back for some of the Firm's largest clients. Syndicate Operations works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to communicate deal requirements from an Operations perspective and coordinate the settlement of syndicated offerings.
- Daily responsibilities include interaction with the Securitized Products Group and Municipal Bond Syndicate desks and bankers, key stakeholder groups across Operations and Finance, counsel, depositories and exchanges, transfer agents/trustees, and Syndicate counterparts at other banks.
Responsibilities: - The Syndicate Operations team handles operational support for SPG and Municipals transactions. Some of the key responsibilities are outlined below.
- Deal Management: The candidate will be expected to run point on sizable and complex transactions for the team and manage multiple aspects of the new issuance process from deal structuring through settlement.
- Risk Management: The role involves exposure and interaction with the business on important transactions for the Firm. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of risks associated with a transaction and the ability to have strong judgement around timely escalation to ensure appropriate resolution.
- Client Focus: The team works closely with the Fixed Income Division and developing a strong partnership with business partners is essential to the role. There is direct interaction and coordination, often at senior levels, with the Syndicate Desk, BCU, and Coverage teams. The role also requires coordination with external vendors, including DTCC, Transfer/Paying Agents, Financial Advisors and external counsel.
- Process Improvements: The candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to identify process improvements and help implement solutions to address them.
Skills Required: - Prior experience in a Trade Support, Syndicate Operations, or an Operations role is beneficial.
- Technical understanding of Fixed Income products and operational support functions.
- Ability to manage risk and escalate timely.
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence to drive discussions with senior stakeholders across multiple divisions, including Fixed Income, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Operations' management.
- Deliver process improvements and control framework uplift for a space that is manual.
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong team player while demonstrating an ability to effectively work independently.
- Must be proficient in MS Office products, including Excel and Power Point.
