Jack Laurie Group is seeking a dedicated and motivated Commercial Hardwood Flooring Apprentice to join our expert team at Jack Laurie Commercial Flooring. Work under the guidance of experienced installers to learn the fundamentals of hardwood flooring installation, repair, and finishing.
Assist in measuring, cutting, and installing hardwood flooring in commercial spaces such as gyms, schools, offices, retail stores, and restaurants.
Help prepare job sites by cleaning, leveling, and removing debris.
Learn to sand, stain, and finish hardwood floors to perfection.
Apply adhesives and assist with fastening flooring materials.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Develop the skills needed to advance into a full-time installer role.
A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
No prior flooring experience required— we provide paid training!
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and measuring equipment (a plus but not required).
Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor throughout the workday.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent.
